AVOID SCAMS
We’ve heard many horror stories from people who have retained the services of a “representative” or other legal “professional” only to find the work has not been done, or something has been promised which was never possible, to begin with. Unfortunately, these people often disappear and are never to be seen again. Are you considering studying in Canada? Canada is known for famous high-ranking universities such as the University of Toronto, the University of Waterloo, and McMaster University. Many students all over the world come to study a variety of fields such as business and medicine and receive quality education. In order to study at one of these universities as an international student, you will likely need a study permit issued by IRCC.
According to the official Canadian website, Canada issued around 199,000 work permits in 2021, and are always looking for new skilled workers to achieve its economic policy goals. If you have the skillset and work experience, you may even qualify for a permanent residency under the express entry branch.
One of the objectives of Canada’s immigration program is to reunite families. Through the family sponsorship program, Canadian citizens and permanent residents may sponsor their qualifying family members and spouses so they may also obtain permanent residency and citizenship. Be advised, there are usually certain thresholds that must be met such as minimum income, and are subject to change at any time.
The Immigration Process
Decisions involving immigration to Canada on a temporary or permanent basis are usually issued by IRCC. In some circumstances, those belonging to specific countries may apply on arrival at the border for a temporary visa.
For example, citizens from the United States of America may apply and receive on arrival a Temporary Residence Visa should the applicant qualify, while a Vietnamese citizen will likely need to apply in advance for a Visitor’s Visa.
